GINA is a gas settlements validation system used by leading gas suppliers/shippers operating in the GB market.
The key features of the product include:
- Interception of industry flows exchanged between Xoserve and Shippers
- Maintenance of Supply Point Administration
- Portfolio comparison to identify differences in supply meter points between Xoserve records and data held within GINA
- Capture Meter Read Submission and Xoserve’s read acceptance and rejections
- Generation of volume and energy values at supply meter point level
- Validation of core transmission and distribution invoices (COM, CAZ, AMS)
- Validation of Gemini invoices (BAL, ECO, NTE etc.)
- Validation of Annual AQs
- Validation of share of Unidentified Gas
- Validation of Independent Gas Transporters (iGTs) invoices
- Generation of invoice prints, invoice extracts (for integration with customers’ other systems) and remittance advice documents
- Calculation of each Shipper’s credit position with gas transporters, including alerts when credit limits are close to being breached.
GINA is a key source of information exchanged between Xoserve and gas shippers and acts as an independent repository of registration and metering data. This independent view of registration and metering data is core to the calculation and subsequent validation of incurred charges by each supply meter point.
Gas shippers receive charges from Gas Distribution and Transmission companies covering approximately 400 charge types. These charges are issued through a series of invoices which are loaded into GINA for validation. GINA processes 23 different invoice file types – including both main and supporting files – allowing it to manage 28 distinct Transmission and Distribution invoice categories.
The pivotal role played by the software demands a full breadth support service. St Clements provides a modern, professional Helpdesk query and fix service and supplements this with active monitoring of industry change via its Watching Brief service.
